September 15, 2006 - Sen. Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.), chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Agriculture, is inviting all producers to submit comments to the committee to be utilized in the development of the next Farm Bill.
"Our goal is to gather feedback about how current farm policy affects America's producers and what influencing factors have changed since the construction of the last Farm Bill," stated Goodlatte in his letter to American Sheep Industry Association President Paul Frischknecht.
To gather this feedback, the senator launched a web-based form to provide an opportunity for anyone interested in the future of farm policy to submit comments to the members of the agriculture committee, the vary members responsible for the construction and implementation of farm policy.
Producers are encouraged to visit
www.agriculture.house.gov, click on the Farm Bill feedback form, fill-in the form and submit their comments on current and future farm policy.
