Genotyping Deadline Sept. 15

September 1, 2006 - Producers have been participating in a cost-share ram genotyping program being administered by the American Sheep Industry Association (ASI) in conjunction with the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS). The cost share provides an opportunity to receive $14 per ram tested on up to 10 rams.

Only two weeks remain for producers to participate in this program as reimbursement requests must be postmarked no later than Sept. 15, 2006, to be eligible.

Opportunities for ram genotype testing are also available through many state/APHIS cooperative programs.
