Lamb Roast Bid Announced

August 25, 2006 - The U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service is now accepting offers to sell frozen lamb products for use in federal food and nutrition programs. This is part of the $5 million lamb roast purchase program that USDA provided per the request of the American Sheep Industry Association.

All offers must be received by 1:30 p.m. Central Time on Sept. 1. Acceptances will be announced by midnight, Friday, Sept. 8, with shipments to be scheduled between Oct. 16 and Oct. 31.
