August 18, 2006 - As part of an initiative to enhance outreach to assist small and very small plants, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is holding a series of regulatory education sessions. Owners and operators of small and very small plants are invited to join FSIS inspection personnel at regulatory education sessions to bring industry and inspection personnel together to promote a uniform understanding of the regulations. The sessions will cover a regulatory walk through of the Sanitation SOPs, HACC and Rules of Practice requirements.
Sessions are scheduled in Texas and Georgia in August with Wisconsin, Texas, New York and California scheduled in September. Additional details are located at:
