Oil Prices Hit Record Levels

July 21, 2006 - Oil prices rose to record levels as fears increased that the conflict between Israel and Lebanon would interrupt oil supplies from the region. Crude oil for August delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange hit a record high of $78.40 a barrel.
