Lamb Roast Purchase Postponed

July 14, 2006 - The U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) invitation to lamb suppliers to sell frozen lamb products for use in federal food and nutrition programs will be postponed until Aug. 2006.
USDA has executed two lamb roast purchases in the $5 million lamb roast purchase program requested by the American Sheep Industry Association and approved Secretary by Agriculture Mike Johanns on April 14, 2006.
No bids were accepted in the third round in late June.
