USDA Rejects Offers for Lamb Roasts

June 30, 2006 -- The Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) on Thursday rejected offers for frozen lamb products due to price considerations. Rejected offer prices for lamb leg roasts and lamb roasts ranged from $3.09 per pound to $4.13 per pound. Four vendors submitted offers for this bid.

Bids for the next lamb purchase are due by 1:30 p.m., central time, on Friday, July 7, with the acceptance announce not later than Friday, July 14.
