August 15, 2008 - The Public Lands Council annual meeting will be held in Twin Falls, Idaho, on Sept. 24-26, 2008. The Red Lion Hotel will be the conference headquarters for this event.

The meeting offers the opportunity for public lands members to weigh in on issues facing the industry including litigation affecting public lands ranchers, endangered species actions, permit renewal status and generally what is happening in Washington, D.C., that is affecting western ranchers.

Sept. 24 and 25 will consist of speakers, organizational discussions and policy-setting meetings. A tour of the Murphy Fire Complex has been arranged for Sept. 26.
