May 26, 2006 -- On Thursday, the U.S. Senate passed the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2006 by a 62 to 36 vote.
The bill includes the AgJOBS legislation which addresses the H2A provision for sheep herders.
The bill now goes to conference between the House and the Senate. The House version of the bill does not contain the AgJOBS provision.
