Washable Suits Hit Stores

March 17, 2006

March 17, 2006 -- For spring, JCPenney and Bagir have joined forces to introduce the Stafford washable wardrobe -- the only wool blend men?s suit that?s fully machine-washable and can be tumbled dry. The suits will debut in over 500 JCPenney stores nationwide.

That?s right, a tailored, fully lined, quality suit that can be tossed into the laundry. No need to iron. Suits are a wool/poly/Lycra blend.

During the research phase, the Stafford suits underwent 30 washes and 30 tumble-dry cycles. The results, company officials say, were the same as those for similar suits taken to a dry cleaner.

The Stafford suits are sold as separates in tan, navy pinstripe and gray pinstripe. The cost is $190 for the jacket and $50 for the pants.
