ALB Sponsors Lamb Grilling Contest

July 18, 2008 - The American Lamb Board (ALB) is calling all fans of lamb to the first "Get Your Grill On" video competition. The inaugural open-call contest invites grill masters to share their favorite lamb recipe. The contestant who sears the competition will receive a new grill, a Labor Day grand prize package including lamb for six and have their video submission featured on the American Lamb Web site.

American lamb is a secret weapon when it comes to fast flavor on the grill. Low in fat and high in flavor, this lean meat is a cut above the rest. Contestants can submit a 3-minute to 5-minute video showing how they "get their grill on," specifying what cut of lamb is used, how the recipe is made and how much the contestant loves lamb.

Videos will be reviewed by a panel of experts to select a winner announced on August 18, in time for the winning grill guru to celebrate a Lamb-tastic Labor Day party with the grand prize. All entrants will receive a Fan of Lamb keepsake.
