Elders to Close Down Greasy Wool Business

June 27, 2008

June 27, 2008 - Elders has moved to clarify the future of its wool broking services.

General Manager of Elders Wool, Mark Rodda, confirmed to ABC Rural that the company will continue to operate its wool broking service, and grower clients will still be able to send wool to the company for testing and auction under the Elders name. The company has decided, however, to shut down its greasy wool trading business known as BWK-Elders.

Rodda says money saved from the move will be redirected back into the broader Elders wool business.
