Mid-States Wool Growers Selects New General Manager

June 13, 2008 - David Rowe of London, Ohio, has been selected as the new general manager of Mid-States Wool Growers. Rowe has been involved in many levels of the cooperative form of doing business for over 18 years, so he will be familiar with the manner that Mid-States has to operate in order to maintain their cooperative status.

While his previous employment has been in grain marketing, he has extensive experience in strategic planning, relationship management, sales, program development, employee relations and contract development. He has a club lamb flock and is a member of the Ohio Sheep Improvement Association and the Ohio Club Lamb Association.

"He will be able to come into Mid-States with a wealth of experience that should be a real strength for our organization," said Jim Brandt, president of the Board of Directors.

Rowe said, "He is excited about the opportunities this new position will provide and is looking forward to meeting with all the producers and wool buyers in the next few months"

Rowe is currently on the job and will be taking over the responsibilities July 1, the effective date of the retirement of Don Van Nostran.
