December 16, 2005 -- The American Sheep Industry Association (ASI) executive board nominated three individuals to fill three director seats on the board of the National Sheep Industry Improvement Center (NSIIC). Two positions are for members who have expertise in finance and management and one position is for an active producer of sheep or goats. These positions expire Feb. 13.
Both Paul Lewis (Ore.) and Chase Hibbard (Mont.) were re-nominated for the finance and management positions by the ASI executive board as they are eligible for a second term. Tim Turner, DVM, (Texas) was nominated for the active producer of sheep or goats seat. This seat is open as Glen Fisher (Texas) did not seek re-appointment for a second term. Fisher serves as secretary/ treasurer of ASI.
?We are very proud to place these individuals in consideration for appointment to the board of directors of the center,? comments ASI President Paul Frischknecht. ?The center has been a top priority of our organization since 1996 and we recognize the necessity of dedicated, well-informed and diligent directors to implement the missions and goals of the center.
I would also like to thank Glen, as his term comes to an end, for his dedication and service to the board.?
