December 16, 2005 -- Restaurant industry sales are expected to reach a record $511 billion in 2006, according to the National Restaurant Association's 2006 Restaurant Industry Forecast.
Projected sales would translate into a 5.1-percent increase over 2005 and mark the first time the industry surpassed the half-trillion dollar mark.
