Jingle Bleat or Jingle Croak?

December 2, 2005

December 2, 2005 -- A flock of real singing sheep from the Lake District in Cumbria County, England, is taking on the Crazy Frogs this Christmas in the battle to become the novelty song.

The Crazy Frog's Christmas single - Jingle Bells - got its first airplay on Thursday, Dec. 1 and is widely tipped to become the number one novelty Christmas song.

But, the "Baarmy Sheep" of the Lake District launched a pre-emptive strike by making their version of Jingle Bells available the day before, on Wednesday.

The single and a hilarious sheep pop video can be downloaded free from the Web site of the Cumbria Tourist Board at: www.golakes.co.uk/xmasbaarmysheep.
