FSA County Elections Ongoing

November 18, 2005 -- The election period for U.S. Department of Agriculture?s Farm Service Agency (FSA) county committees began on Nov. 4, 2005, and is open through Dec. 5, 2005.
?County committees help administer federal farm programs at the local level and it is vital that committees represent a cross-section of producers in each community,? commented Agriculture Secretary Mike Johanns.
Voting ballots have been mailed to eligible voters. Eligible voters are those that participate or cooperate in FSA programs.
Eligible voters who have not received a ballot can request one from their local FSA office. Ballots must be returned to FSA offices or be postmarked by Dec. 5, 2005.
