May 9, 2008 - The night was perfect for the annual American Lamb Barbecue with 70-degree temperatures, great company and what else but American lamb chops sizzling on the grill.
The event was once again a highlight for legislative and departmental employees. The facility was filled to capacity as more than 140 guests and industry leaders dined on a menu featuring flavorful American lamb chops prepared to perfection.
Rick and Larry Meyers and Fran Boyd of Meyers and Associates once again took charge of the meat preparation. Iowa Lamb Corporation generously donated the loin chops for the evening.
Honored guests included Sen. John Barrasso (Wyo.), member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, and Secretary of Agriculture Ed Schafer. Staff contact: Peter Orwick, ext. 33
