ASI Kicks Off Membership Drive

Nov. 2003 -- For more than 138 years, the American Sheep Industry Association (ASI) and one of its two predecessors, the National Wool Growers, have addressed the U.S. sheep industry?s legislative efforts during both prosperous and challenging times. These legislative efforts were made possible by donations from you -- industry members, businesses and associations.

But as the number of industry members has declined, so have donations. Past initiatives include emergency assistance programs for producers, market research and promotion programs for market expansion and continued work with the largest consumer of U.S. wool fabric, the U.S. military.

Unfortunately, the industry has never been, nor will ever be, without legislative issues in need of addressing. That?s the impetus for an Associate Membership Program recently launched by ASI. You can show your continued support for ASI?s legislative efforts by becoming an Associate Member. The ASI Associate Membership Program offers you various membership and sponsorship options.
