More Listening Sessions Scheduled

September 30, 2005 -- Agriculture Secretary Mike Johanns this week announced the next Farm Bill Forums to be held as part of USDA's nationwide farm bill listening tour. The public is invited to attend and offer comments on farm bill policy.
USDA officials will conduct the following listening sessions: Oct. 1, Berlin, Conn.; Oct. 5, Lubbock, Texas; Oct. 6, Oakland, Calif.; Oct. 7. Elkins, W.V.; Oct. 11, Bangor, Maine; Oct. 14, Baltimore, Md., Little Rock, Ark., and Narragansett, R.I.; Oct. 15, Harrington, Del.; Oct. 18, Moultrie, Ga.; Oct. 19, Miami, Fla.; Oct. 24, Greeley, Colo.; Oct. 25, Manchester, N.H.; Oct. 26, South Burlington, Vt.; Nov. 2, Atlanta, Ga.; Nov. 12, Hawaii; and Nov. 16, New Brunswick, N.J.
If you are able to attend a session near you, briefing papers on sheep industry priorities for the new Farm Bill are available from the ASI office.
