ASI Attends Outdoor Retail Show
August 26, 2005
August 26, 2005 -- The Outdoor Retail Summer Market, held in Salt Lake City, Utah, is reputed to be the single largest and most prestigious show when it comes to performance clothing. The American Sheep Industry Association (ASI) sent a representative to attend this year's event to ascertain the value of exhibiting at next year's show.
Attendees were faced with the difficult task of squeezing in back-to-back appointments, seminars, product demonstrations, panel discussions and association meetings into the four day event. Throughout every square foot of the Salt Palace, innovative new products were found across all product categories with this year's big buzz word being 'moisture management' -- the ability to absorb and transport moisture away from the skin.
"There is great value in ASI attending this show," expressed Parvez Mehta, Ph.D., wool consultant for ASI. "Having a chance to meet with the exhibitors and to learn of their wool needs provides valuable insight on production needs in the retail arena."
