Improved Shearer Database on ASI Web Site

    August 19, 2005 -- As many are aware, the American Sheep Industry Association (ASI) has been collecting contact information for shearers who indicated an interest in being a part of the industry-wide shearer directory.
    Producers searching the database for a shearer in their state can now click on the state and get a list of those shearers. Since many shearers also travel to surrounding states, it is advised that producers also check neighboring states for shearers who might be available to travel.
    The list of shearers can still be accessed by downloading the Acrobat version of the directory.
    To find the state interactive listing of shearers, go to:
