June 24, 2005 -- The most recent issue of the Sheep & Goat Research Journal ? Special Edition: Predation is now on www.sheepusa.org, the American Sheep Industry Association?s (ASI) Web site, for you to view. This special issue covers topics from the economic impact of predation to the history of animal damage control and non-lethal alternatives for predation management.
The journal began in the 1980s because sheep producers, extension professionals, researchers and others saw a need for a vehicle where practical, adaptive sheep research could be published. The journal provides authors an avenue to publish such peer-reviewed research.
The journal is posted to the ASI site in two formats: 1) the articles are posted individually as web documents to assure internet searchability, and 2) the entire journal is posted as an Acrobat PDF file for journal-like printability. To view the charts and graphs included with each of the submissions, readers will need to view the Acrobat PDF file.
