Wool Loan Deficiency Program

June 3, 2005 -- As June is one of the popular periods of the year for pool-collection of wool for delivery, a timely reminder is extended to sheep producers to file their wool LDP. Applications must be made with the county Farm Service Agency office.
Program requirements include a provision that the LDP application be filed by the producer prior to losing interest in the wool. For wool pools, this is generally the date that wool is delivered to the pool.
