NLFA Leadership School Deadline Nears

May 20, 2005

May 20, 2005 -- With the June 1st deadline approaching, interested sheep producers have only a short time left to submit applications for the July 10-14, 2005, National Lamb Feeders Association (NLFA) Howard Wyman Leadership School in Columbus, Ohio.
The 2005 program offers a rare opportunity to combine two unique learning experiences: The Ohio State University?s LAMB 509 program and the Leadership School?s curriculum of site tours, discussion groups and instruction by industry leaders and educators.
In addition to the LAMB 509 program, this year?s site tours will include Mid-States Wool Growers Co-op, Blystone?s Ethnic Harvesting Facility, Mt. Vernon Producers Livestock and a number of successful commercial-sheep operations in the Columbus area.
Written applications must be received by June 1, 2005. No fee is required to apply. The applicants who are accepted will be notified immediately after June 1 and asked to submit a registration fee of $100 to secure their placement.
Application forms can be obtained from the NLFA web site at www.nlfa-sheep.org or by calling 503-370-7024 for more information.
