Litchfield Wool Mill Closes

Litchfield Wool Mill, in Litchfield, Minn., has gone out-of-business. Litchfield produced wool blankets for the Defense Supply Center of Philadelphia (DSCP), which supplies the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD).
Neither the army nor the air force will be purchasing wool blankets from DSCP for the next several months, with the navy only purchasing a small amount. This reduction in demand was one of the reasons Litchfield was forced to close it doors.
