Ewe-Lamb Payments Continue

February 11, 2005 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture?s Farm Service Agency (FSA) is continuing to process payments for the ewe-lamb retention program. County and state offices are working to get the remaining disbursements through the system in a timely manner.
"We understand that since Jan. 31 nearly $10 million in payments have been processed," commented Peter Orwick, executive director for the American Sheep Industry Association. "This indicates that well over half of the producers who applied for funding have now received their disbursement."
