September 24, 2004 -- New cuts of English lamb that are being market tested in French supermarkets are flying off the shelves. The Mille Plaisirs d? Agneau range, created by the English Beef and Lamb Executive, comprise nine different cuts and was supplied to 14 branches of the French supermarket Intermarche.
The nine new cuts include stuffed skewers, meat balls, burgers, lamb chunks and lamb shank. The aim is to satisfy the needs of both the processor, who deals with balanced cuts, and the French consumer, by providing a variety of cuts suitable for all meal occasions.
