FSA County Nominations End Sept. 3

August 27, 2004 -- Agriculture Secretary Ann M. Veneman reminded America?s farmers, ranchers and other agricultural producers that the deadline for nominating candidates to serve on the U.S. Department of Agriculture?s Farm Service Agency (FSA) County Committees is next Friday, Sept. 3, 2004.

Committees make decisions on county commodity price-support loan eligibility, establishment of allotments and yields, conservation and disaster programs, employment and other farm program-related issues.

Nomination forms can be obtained from the local FSA offices, USDA Service Centers or online at Nomination Forms.
