August 27, 2004 -- CNN reported the China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation is donating 90,000 specially designed outfits to sheep in Ulsen Banner, China?s main production base for Ordos fine wool. Dust storms blown in from Inner Mongolia?s spreading deserts plague China?s northwestern regions every spring.
The clothing is meant to protect against infectious diseases in summer and plant and flower seeds in winter and spring. One producer believes, ?With the help of the dusters, the wool will be finer and sell better.?
