Warehouse Inspection Deadline Nears

April 16, 2004 -- The American Sheep Industry Association wants to remind wool warehouses of the new provision put into place for suppliers exporting wool to the European Union (EU).
To acquire an export certificate to ship wool to the EU, suppliers?should?have their facility inspected and approved by April 30, 2004. The U.S. Department of Agriculture?s (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) is conducting the inspections. Warehouses can contact their area APHIS office to schedule a fee-based inspection.
