March 26, 2004 -- Three states, Wisconsin, Ohio and Wyoming, are adding categories for quilts and afghans in their 2004 Make-It-Yourself-With-Wool (MIYWW) Contests.
According to Carol Battenberg, Wisconsin MIYWW director, ?The move is designed to further increase the visibility of wool?s versatility and draw a wider circle of participants to the state?s MIYWW contest.?
?The quilt/afghan categories are currently only available at the state level. We hope to provide additional interest in the contest by drawing quilt makers into the competition,? stated Marie Lehfeldt, National MIYWW Director.
