Jan. 30, 2004 -- The deadline to request LDPs or loans for?Calendar Year 2003 wool, mohair or unshorn pelts is Jan. 31, 2004. Producers must contact their local Farm Service Administration Service Center immediately to be considered for this program.
Sign-up also is underway for 2004 calendar year wool and unshorn pelt production. This week's announced?LDP payment is 24 cents per pound for grease wool, and producers are reminded that they must apply for an LDP prior to selling the wool.?
