Celebration of Life Scheduled for Nuckolls

Sheep producer Jw Nuckolls died at his home on Feb. 21. He was 84 years old, and had long been active within the American sheep industry.

Nuckolls played a vital role in forming Center of the Nation Wool and the Mountain States Lamb Cooperative, serving on the board of directors of each group. His sheep industry involvement included serving as an officer of the Wyoming Wool Growers Association. He also served on the local school board, as a county commissioner and on the Wyoming Livestock Board through the years. He was honored with the American Sheep Industry Association's Distinguished Producer Award in 2016.

Nuckolls is survived by his wife, Thea; children, Nan (Tom) Neiman; Dawn (Shannon) Brengle; Zeta (Gary) Anderson; Will (Laura) Nuckolls; and Sam (Kristy) Nuckolls; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

A celebration of his life is scheduled for Tuesday, March 6, at 1 p.m., at the Greater Hulett (Wyo.) Community Center with burial to take place at the Hulett Cemetery. A luncheon at the Community Center will follow the burial.
