ASI Executive Board Summary of Actions
September 2, 2016

The American Sheep Industry Association is accountable for the oversight of the annual budget and board appointments of the National Livestock Producers Association Sheep and Goat Loan Fund Committee. The ASI executive board met via conference call this week to conduct this NLPA business.

NLPA recommended two nominees for approval to the Sheep and Goat Loan Fund Committee Board. James Gillmor (Utah) and Pierce Miller (Texas) were recommended for re-election to the board for three-year terms. The ASI executive board unanimously approved these nominations.

The ASI executive board also reviewed the proposed 2017 Sheep and Goat Fund budget. Scott Stuart, NLPA president and chief executive officer, pointed out that there has been a decrease in the loan volume as many loans have been paid off. The ASI executive board unanimously approved the 2017 NLPA proposed budget.
