July 1, 2016

The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation last week completed its review and evaluation of the American Sheep Industry Association's Casualty Underwriters Insurance Company Plan of Operations for the 2017 reinsurance year. The CUIC plan under the Livestock Price Reinsurance Agreement was approved for the 2017 reinsurance year.

According to Burdell Johnson, CUIC's Managing General Agent, "Based on FCIC's review and analysis, CUIC is authorized to write up to $1,100,000 in reinsurable premium under the LPRA during the 2017 reinsurance year. I look forward to being able to again provide Livestock Risk Protection-Lamb coverage through CUIC in 2017."
