NLFA Leadership School Deadline Jan. 6
December 9, 2017

The 31st annual Howard Wyman Sheep Industry Leadership School sponsored by the National Lamb Feeders Association is scheduled for March 12-15, 2017, in Albany, Ore.

The school was moved from summer to spring to allow participants to get the most out of seeing the area's unique grass fed lamb production and marketing systems in operation. Planned visits around the Albany area include a startup sheep dairy, a 3-year-old on-ranch harvest facility, a fiber mill and vineyard grazing. An optional Oregon Coast tour is also available for those wishing to stay an extra day.

Cost to individual participants consists of their transportation to and from the school plus a $200 per person registration fee. Participants must be 20 years of age to apply and the application details are available at www.NLFA-Sheep.org. Because the school has been moved forward this year, the registration deadline is Jan. 6, 2017.
