What Happens When a Farm Kid Goes to an Animal Rights Conference?

Laura Bardot describes herself as a classic, stereotypical farm kid, growing up on a cattle operation in Missouri. She was involved in 4-H and FFA and was driving a truck years before she was old enough to drive a car on the highway.

She learned about the tactics of animal rights activists during Missouri's efforts to pass a right to farm law. But she never thought she would mingle with the very people she disliked for their bullying and loose association with the truth. But when she worked as an intern for the Animal Agriculture Alliance, she had just that experience.
