Life-Sized Photos of Sheep Latest Livestock Herding Tool
April 8, 2016

A New South Wales woolgrower is using photographic lures to encourage sheep into foreign environments. Spike Wall admits he is no rocket scientist and that his invention, designed to trick sheep, is a very simple idea. The livestock lures are simply life-sized photos of merinos, placed in areas like wool sheds, catching pens, races or trucks, encouraging sheep to move towards them.

"They see what they think is a sheep and by the time they get to it and realise it isn't a sheep, all its mates have followed him," Wall said.

Wall has patented the idea for all animals worldwide.
