LAMB 300 Short-Course in California

April 29, 2016

With grant funding from the American Sheep Industry Association's Let's Grow Program, a LAMB 300 Short-Course will be offered by Washington State University and Superior Farms on June 9-11 in Dixon, Calif.

LAMB 300 is a three-day, hands-on workshop designed for individuals involved with all aspects of the sheep industry. The course will focus on teaching how to produce and market quality lambs and lamb products. Participants will learn how environmental, nutritional, genetic and managerial factors contribute to meat quality, as well as how meat quality factors influence the price producers receive for lamb and lamb products marketed through various outlets.

Registration for the course is $120 per participant if paid before May 20; costs are $170 after that date. This fee covers meals, materials and parking arrangements; however, hotel accommodations will be the responsibility of the participants. The course is limited to 40 participants and will be available on a first-pay, first-serve basis.
