Wool Prices Fall for Second Consecutive Week In AU$ - Stay Same in US$

The currency appeared to play a significant role on this week's wool prices when it jumped almost 1.5 cents during the past seven days, hitting a 10-month high at 78.26 U.S. cents midway through the sale.

Australian wool prices fell for the second consecutive week sending the Australian Wool Exchange Eastern Market Indicator to its lowest level in six months. The EMI closed down 24 cents this week to 1217 c/kg clean as the Australian dollar appreciated to US78.07 cents, putting the EMI in US$ terms at US950 c/kg, down 1 cent.
