New Ag Census Data Available
May 4, 2014

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) released the final results of the 2012 Census of Agriculture. The results share wide-ranging information about what agricultural products were raised in the United States in 2012 and examine where, how and by whom they were grown. National, state and county level data is available, including information that is only collected and reported as part of the every-five-year census.

The census provides a wide range of demographic, economic, land and crop and livestock production information including congressional district profiles. The ranking of congressional districts presents the order of districts from largest to smallest. The statistics presented in this report include operator characteristic, farm characteristics, selected value of agricultural products sold, selected livestock and poultry inventories and selected crops harvested.
