Kansas State Plans Sheep and Goat Conference

The K-State Sheep and Goat Conference will be held in Manhattan, Kan., May 2-4.

Kicking off events Friday afternoon are separate live-animal evaluation sessions for sheep and goats. Saturday provides meetings about guardian dogs, feedlots, processing plants, forage utilization and preventative care vaccinations and treatments, to name a few. Sessions conclude at noon on Sunday after the marketing and carcass evaluation presentations.

"All are welcome at the K-State conference," said Brian Faris, Ph.D., assistance professor at Kansas State University. "We think we have put together a diverse yet comprehensive program for this year's meeting. There is something for everyone."
