Update on France World Shepherd Challenge
April 11, 2014

The American Sheep Industry Association has been informed of a change to the age requirements for the World Young Shepherd Challenge in France. The age range has been opened up to include college students between the ages of 19 and 25. Therefore, anyone born between the dates of Oct. 2, 1988, and Sept. 29, 1995, is eligible to apply. Two categories of contestants will be chosen -- Youth 1 and Youth 2 -- dependent upon the final registrants.

Additional information about applying to represent the United States in this competition is available on the home page of www.sheepusa.org.

As a reminder, ASI must receive the video and the application by May 1. Participants and alternates will be notified by June 1. Two all-expenses-paid trips to the event in France representing the United States will be awarded to the top two finalists; spending money will be the responsibility of the contestant.

Contest questions can be directed to Burdell Johnson at bjohnson@fafrm.com or by calling 701-320-5687. Send applications to Judy Malone at judym@sheepusa.org.
