On Jan. 24, 2011, the American Sheep Industry Association once again appeared on RFD-TV to promote the sheep industry and to encourage production. The show has been divided into segments of 6 minutes each. These segments are available at ASI on REF-TV.

Fall lambing plays a critical part in the lamb market. This is a video about one sheep operation in California who cashes in on that valuable piece of the market.


This next video highlights one lamb feedlot, Harper Livestock, and depicts how lamb feeding plays an important part in the sheep industry.


Many of the large Western, range-type sheep operations produce both a quality wool clip and lamb product. This video highlights one sheep operation that is doing just that.


Another sheep product is pelts. Those too have been of value to producers.

Rominger Brothers is a farming operation in California that recognized the benefits of adding sheep to their land and purchased a ewe flock about 2 years ago. Here is their story.


In Ohio, the Cline Family has taken advantage of the forage on their land and turned a small farm flock into a couple hundred ewe-flock rotational-grazing operation.


A fact many may not know is that Iowa rounds out the top five states with the most sheep operations. This video shows how a couple in Northwest Iowa produces sheep and the advantages of raising sheep in the country's heartland.
